Halloween

There is just something about this holiday. Costumes.. halloween parties... candy and great excitement. Kids LOVE it. I love watching the little kids work their way up to a door and yell "trick or treat". James is still at the age where he takes everything out of the bucket to look at it. He gets so excited about every single piece of candy. Spencer had the running from house to house down. It kept them warm but we had to get him to slow down and wait for the one running in cowboy boots.  It is great. THAT is what I love about Halloween.

I have great memories of Halloween growing up and hope that my children grow up with lots of great memories too. This year we went to Wingers for dinner with grandma and Paka. Kids got to eat free so that worked out really well. It had been raining for a while but while we were eating it seemed to slow down. We hurried home so the kids would get dressed up... nice and warm cause it was going to be cold. Not Canada cold but still cold.

With the excitement of going trick or treating this is the best picture we got. James was a cowboy, Brynlee a cat and Spencer was a knight.
So much excitement

We were really lucky that Uncle JT came out trick or treating with us. Brian was working so I wasn't sure I could do it alone. I wish I had a picture.. JT came dressed up as Waldo from Where's Waldo. It was really funny to see peoples reaction to him. They either said... Hey I found Waldo or they said.. Who are you suppose to be?? I guess the younger generation seem to have forgotten who Waldo is :(

We got one street in and it suddenly got really cold, then the wind kicked up and then it started to rain. The boys didn't seem to notice but Brynlee was not happy. I went back and got the car and followed the boys for a bit. Brian soon joined us and I was able to take Brynlee home to get warm and in bed. The boys came back shortly after and were so excited about their loot. It was very fun. I will admit, I love to watch the kids so excited. They had so much fun running from house to house. One house gave them some cool finger lights. I think they were more excited about that then all the candy. It was a great night. very very fun. Thank you JT for coming and freezing with the kids. They sure love you. Until next year... Happy Halloween!

I found you, Leah! It's so great to see your darling little family and catch up with your life in Utah. We kinda have matching little families, don't we?? :)
