Date Night

My sweet husband took me on one of the best dates that we have had in a long time. He had fall break from school so we took advantage of the time to go out. I asked him if he would be willing to see Thriller with me... fully expecting him to either say no or say yes reluctantly. I was wrong. He was very quick to say yes and said he was looking forward to going. We were lucky that it was playing at the U so we got cheap tickets.

Before the show we went out to eat. I got a gift certificate to Star of India downtown. Ever since my friend Jen introduced us to Indian food in Calgary we have been hooked.

Here is my cute husband at the restaurant. I was trying to get a picture with the paintings but it was with my phone so this is what you get.

Here is the blue Indian baby that was overlooking us while we ate some very yummy food.

My camera battery died as I was trying to take pictures so this is what you get. a self portrait with my phone.... if that isn't scary I don't know what is!

Thriller was AWESOME! They had the zombie dancers out in the audience before and after the show. they kept picking on this one little girl up front. it was funny to watch. The dancing was not at all what I expected. I laughed, I smiled, I had a great time. One of my favorite dancers from SYTYCD a few seasons back was in it... that was a pleasant surprise. Gev Manoukian was amazing. I really loved that they even had a few numbers with dancers on pointe... made me miss dancing. I even think I still have a pair of pointe shoes somewhere ** sigh**

It was a great date night. As we were walking to the car Brian tells me to look for cheap tickets to go see the nutcracker this Christmas. I was a little surprised. Going to a show like Thriller is one thing.. taking me to the ballet is on a whole new level. wish me luck on finding some cheap tickets  :)

Thank you to Aunt Martie and Uncle JT for babysitting so we could go out.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the Nutcracker tickets too!
