Yup. that is my 5 year old riding his bike. I knew he would do great without his training wheels. we just had to wait for daddy to have enough time to teach him. Brian had a week off from school (which we loved) so we took advantage of him being home and the nice weather.
Spencer was a natural. He took off right away and had no trouble. He was in heaven and so excited to ride and ride and ride. I have a feeling this might turn into something big for him. Just a feeling... Brian was great with him. he would run next to him and make sure he was ok even though Spencer didn't need him. Spencer only needs help getting on but that is getting better too. We had a fabulous time in the sun.

James loves this strider. He rode it along as we walked and never complained.
Seriously I think these boys are going to be into biking :-) Spencer has even challenged Uncle Brad to a bike race this weekend. Brad was excited to hear this, even wanted to put money down on the race.
As a side note - there was some huge Carnage of snails/slugs/worms on my run this morning. Not from me of course, that would be gross. But there were so many along the path that it was bound to happen by others. (gross) Other than that it was a really great run this morning. I am still loving it (which is good) Especially since I just signed up for my first 5K.

So proud of that boy! It is a big day when the two wheeler is mastered. Good job, Spencer!
By the way, carnage of the slimy type is gross. So glad you were able to miss them! Slippery buggers, they are.
