Happenings....

February has not been good to us this year. It started when Spencer got this cough. he seemed to be fine except for a nasty cough. then next day James started coughing, and then Brynlee. James got a fever and started breathing really fast. It scared me enough that I took him into the Dr. Since we were there I had them check Brynlee too. James had a fever of 103 and sounded bad enough that the Dr sent him to get a chest x-ray. Brynlee had a fever of 101 and when he checked her she had an eye and ear infection. When James got back from the chest x-ray he was still breathing fast so they gave him a breathing treatment.

He had to do this for 5-7 min. He lasted for 2 then cried the rest of the time

I had to get a picture of James and this sticker. It says, "I got an X-ray today" which James proudly wore on his head.
So the rest of the week looked like this
James was not happy and just wanted to be held. The Dr gave us an inhaler to use at home. Not his favorite thing, but it helped slow his breathing for a while. He needed it for days.

So we were a little trapped at home for a while. It was not fun. I don't like it when my kids are sick.

Near the end of all this we had visitors. My niece Sarah and her husband Pat stopped by on their way to visit my grandpa in St. George. They spent Valentines day with us. It was still kind of a lazy day because Brian had to work and the kids were still too sick to go to Church. We did manage to have Fondue for dinner.
We did it all... Cheese fondue, meat fondue and my favorite, Chocolate fondue. It was a lot of work but so totally worth it. The kids enjoyed it too. I think this might become our Valentines day tradition.

Spencer loves it when people come visit him. He is still talking about it, even though it was only a short visit. We are looking forward to healthy kids and hopefully some more visitors.

I am so with you on the sickness. After we got it I thought it was going to be ER time for Judd, but I guess we are more used to him not breathing well. Honestly I think that was the nastiest cold we have ever had (in your house or ours). Matt and I are both fighting hard not to get it. Every day we feel it creeping in and we keep drinking Airborne hehe. Glad you are all looking up, and I love the plug for visitors hehe. Hope Bri feels better soon!
