The Big Switch

There comes a time when you need to move your toddler from a crib into a toddler bed. I was sure that I wanted to keep James in his crib for as long as possible. He is such a good sleeper and I liked that about him. Then James figured out how to climb out of his crib. In a way this was a good thing. It was time to move Brynlee from the bassinet into a crib and I really didn't want to get another crib. So we made the switch and it has been heaven. We may have had one or 2 nights where James would come out of his room but always went back to bed willingly. It helped that Spencer is in the same room.

James has always loved the silky part of his blankets. There are a few of Brynlees blankets that have a lot of silky parts and these have been swiped by James. He sleeps with lots of silky blankets. So sweet.

I only found him like this once. I am not sure if he fell out of bed or was playing with toys and crashed... either way it was pretty cute.
I love that my kids are so easy to put to bed. They know the routine and bedtime is always easy. I am also lucky that Brynlee is following in that pattern. I put her down awake and she seems to like her bed too.
