My Baby is 5 today. I can hardly believe it. I feel like he just joined our little family. I remember saying when he was born that I felt like he was always a part of our family. We would not be the same without him.
Baby Spencer
Spencer with his cousin Clair

He is so much fun. Spencer is a serious gift in my life. Already he is a great example to me. When we go places where other kids are playing he is quick to go and introduce himself and ask them what their names are. He will always come and tell me about his new friends. I wish I had this ability. He definitely isn't as shy as I am.

He was so excited about getting a baby sister. When asked what her name would be he would simply tell people that she would tell him when she was born. That is the first thing he asked her, he whispered to her, " what's your name?" it was too cute

He loves to play. He got a bunch of dress up clothes from his cousin and he is always dressing up as something fun. This day it was a ninja. he still has to ask me who is the good guy and who is the bad guy.

He adores his friends and cousins. He was so sad when his best bud Ian moved back to Canada. Every so often he will say to me, "mommy we need to get a big truck, load it with all our stuff and move to Canada!" if only it was that simple. Good thing no one seems to mind the drive.

Spencer is the BEST big brother. He is such a good example of love and forgiveness. Spencer is very tender hearted. He gives great snuggles. He doesn't like intense parts in movies. He will sometimes say to me that he has had his feelings hurt. But he is quick to move on and to forgive. I hope this never changes about him. He is a great kid and I am lucky that he is mine.

Happy Birthday Spencer. I love you!!
