James Turns 1!!

I cannot believe that my baby is now a year old! This last year has gone by so fast. So I thought I would take this time to remember some things about James. first.... who can forget how huge he was at birth... 9lbs 5oz!! he did not look like a new born. Maybe it had something to do with his size of maybe he was just a good baby, but he was sleeping through the night, a full 8 hours, at 4 weeks and that quickly went to 12 hours. He still sleeps so good. Such a blessing. His first word was "HI". he is a very social baby. He is always trying to get people too look at him and talk to him. His new favorite thing in church is to walk over to people and just start talking and playing. He loves to wave and blow kisses. He is walking everywhere... sometimes not so stable but he always gets right back up and goes again. He is so excited in the mornings to see Spencer. I think they are going to be really good friends :) 

So yesterday for his birthday we went to the farm with some cousins. It was fun. They got to ride the horses, feed the goats and go on a wagon ride. The weather is still so beautiful and it was nice to be outside and the fact that cousins were there made it so special. We are lucky to have cousins the same age as both Spencer and James. now if only we lived closer ;) 

Last night after dinner we went to my sister's house and had cupcakes and opened presents. James had been eyeing the cupcakes all night and couldn't wait to get his hands on one. He didn't even hesitate to dive right in. He was unsure of the presents but had lots of help. He sure got some cute toys. It was a great day. Thank you to all who made it special for us!!
