Valentines weekend

I am starting to really enjoy valentines day. I use to think it was all just a big push to get people to spend money. I still kind of feel that way but it is way more fun when you have kids to involve and spoil. I had some big plans for V-day with the kids this year. Spencer was off school and I thought we could have some fun.

Last minute I found out my brother was coming with his 2 oldest boys. Slight change in plans... Spencer and E are only a month apart and are really good friends. Even if they only see each other a few times a year they seem to always pick up where they left off. They played and played and played some more. It was great. They didn't fight and just enjoyed the time together. We took them to do some fun things. We went to incredible pizza (shocking I know) and Cabellas ( great free fun) The weather warmed up just enough that they could spend time outside.

James and N are a little further apart in age (9months) and spent their time trying to keep up with the older boys. Having 4 boys running around my small apartment was a little over whelming at times. They always seemed to have a super hero costume on and were always chasing the bad guys. Oh what fun.

On Sunday we planned a big Valentines dinner. We did our yearly fondue. The kids thought it was great. Something about dipping food.... without question they loved the chocolate fondue. It was hilarious to listen to them as they dipped their fruit and cookies. Best Dessert EVER!

We were sad to see them go on Monday. Our boys are now convinced more then ever we need to move to Canada... if we can't move there we for sure need to go there, like NOW. Still trying to explain to them that Canada is a very LONG drive.

So my Valentines day didn't exactly go as planned. But it was still a very fun weekend. We really love it when family comes and stays (hint hint). Really looking forward to summer.
