My Country Tis of thee, sweet land of liberty

Happy Canada Day!! ok so I am a day late It is kind of a strange feeling for me to be in the USA and to celebrate July 4th. I would be lying if I told you I didn't get chills when I hear the star spangled banner but I still can't put my hand over my heart when I hear it. I feel that in a way I am cheating on my own country. It has been a long time since I have been home to celebrate July 1st but every year I think about the Country I was born in. I love Canada. I miss Canada. When I drive into Canada I feel lighter, I feel like I am going home. Suddenly the metric system make sense again. I see places that are truly Canadian. Tim Hortons, Macs and I have to stop and get some Chocolate :)

So this weekend as we celebrate July 4th I will also be thinking of Canada. These are 2 great countries that have a special place in my heart. Ok so New Zealand does too but thats another post for another day.
