Shoes

I have been on the Enrichment Committee for the last 2 years. I was recently released and asked to teach Relief Society!! (yikes) so my last enrichment was on Tuesday. We put together a Zion's Place Mall!! We turned the gym into a food court where we had Cinnabon, Subway, Panda Express, Mrs Fields Cookies and pretzel time. After dinner we had several classrooms turned into stores for the sisters to Shop. As a store owner I had to give a 5 min talk and have 60 handout for the shoppers. My shop was Famous Footwear. The lesson was the easy part, my theme was "judge not, walk a mile in her shoes". it was coming up with a handout that I was struggling with. I was talking to my crafty SIL and she had the perfect idea. She just happened to have a template for these cute paper shoes. They were perfect!!!

So the night was a huge success. I am not sure I could have done this alone. I had huge help with decorating my store from Heather, who is just amazing. and everyone seemed to really enjoy the shoes. I really have enjoyed working on the enrichment committee... and now this Sunday will be my first time teaching RS as my new calling......

making 60 shoes was a bit of an undertaking. I had help from Amanda (thank you) and my adorable husband who I put to work cutting the paper. I have a few left... any takers??

They were adorable! I have a shoe, but I would love a copy of the template/ instructions if you still have it. The real bummer about teaching a class was that I didn't get to see the others things people did. I heard your was amazing.

That was seriously the cutest thing ever. I agree with Jessica that teaching a class I didn't get to hear everyone's stuff. I did hear they were all great though.
