Spencer had his tonsils and adenoids out yesterday. I think I was more nervous all day then even he was. He had to fast all day. He could only drink until 11am and he didn't go into surgery until 2:30! He did great and only complained once about his tummy grumbling. We took him up to the primary Children's Hospital. they were great. A nurse gave Spencer a doll as she explained how the Dr was going to help him sleep. He got to paint and play while he waited and even got to drive a car back to the surgery room. He went willingly with the Dr and seemed to take the whole day in stride. The surgery was 30 min and he woke up about 10 min after. He was not very happy when he woke up but I think its cause I wasn't there like I said I would be. That would be my only complaint, that I was called back only after he woke up. He was eating a slushie right away and even had an orange popsicle while he watched his own TV above his bed. An hour and a half after he woke up they let us leave and Spencer chose to ride a tricycle out to the doors. He was doing great. He slept great last night, even after waking him up twice for his medicine. This morning he woke up starving and was sad when I told him he couldn't have his cereal for breakfast. Its a soft food diet for another 2 weeks. Spencer did great. Even one of the nurses commented on how good he was and how he just did what he was asked to do. He is very easy going and I am sure that helped. He did great!!

I am glad he did so well and is doing good now! If he is sad about cereal, give him a Popsicle, he's defiantly earned it! :)
I'm glad it all went so smoothly. Wow, I can't believe he has to have soft foods for 2 weeks!! That's pretty long! He is such a sweet little guy.
