Making Jam and some other updates

OK so I know it has been a while and yes there are some things to catch up on. We have been busy with family and fun and well just busy. July 4Th we went to Layton and stayed with Matt and Amanda. We went to the parade and then fireworks that are always fun to see. Spencer had a blast and even James was mesmerized by the bright lights. On the 6th Brian' s sister blessed her baby so we travelled to Provo for that and got to see Alan and Shanae and Soren. They were in town visiting from the east coast. Monday Alan and Shanae spent the night at our house. After getting together will all the Tullis' at the park they came back to our place to play games until a ridiculous time of night (or morning depending on how you look at it). From there is was just a matter of getting back to life.

James had his 9 month check up. He is still looking good and yes he is very heavy! (19lbs already). He had to get caught up on his vaccines and that same day he started teething. NOT FUN!! although he has still managed to sleep through the night :)

We were able to go and get family pictures done. I don't think we have ever done one with all of us. James wasn't entirely himself so I hope we are able to get a few good shots.

And today I made Jam. It sounds harder than it really is. and the jam is so yummy. The raspberries are so big and so good I had to do something with them. It almost seem idiot proof but I am still just hoping they all set! Yum. Now I just need a good bread recipe and we are set.

Next week we are off to Canada for a week and a bit. I am very excited, my parents are finally back in their house after a fire over 2 years ago. What a nightmare, but it will be so fun to be able to stay with them in their house again. I am sure we will have lots of fun stories to share.

And finally a bit of sad news... something that I don't even like to talk about. My sister and her family lost their visa. I guess with the way the economy is going these days the type of visa they were applying for is not being issued because they want Americans to have those jobs. So they have until December for him to either find another job, one that will sponsor him, or go back to Canada. I am hoping, as they are too, that something will work so that they can stay. It would be way too hard to be here without some of my family around.

Did you say you need a good bread recipe? I think I know of someone who can hook you up. Be watching for an email labeled "famous bread".

Oh no! about your sister and her family!!! I do take for granted that my family is sovereign to the U.S. I would be so distraught if I couldn't have family close by because of a piece of paper!!! We will pray for something to help out, too.

Good to see you post as well! Been missin' the updates. :)
