So Spencer's cousin Ian has always been very curious about this baby. He had lots of questions about when the baby was coming and what we were going to name it etc. One day in the summer when I was pretty big Ian asked what the baby was doing in my belly. I explained that the baby was hanging out in water until it was ready to come out. he went away satisfied for now. A while later he came back and asked if the baby was wearing a life jacket in the water. I thought this was pretty cute. I then had to explain to him that the baby in underwater until it's lungs can breathe air. I am not sure he understood but his next question was how does the baby get out. This was something I told him to ask his mom about.
After James was born I was breastfeeding him and Ian was very curious. he asked what I was doing. I explained that moms with small babies have milk they feed their babies. he looked at me and said, "for real?!" Yup that is how babies eat, from their mommies. a little while later he asked my mom if there was water in the other one.
