Some pictures of the boys in Wetaskiwin. So far north that it does not get dark until 11:30pm and the sun still comes up at 4:30.
So most of you know that my parents had a house fire 2 1/2 years ago. Their neighbor left his bar-b-cue on all night and at 3 am my parents roof was on fire. In that 2 years they moved 4 times. My dad started working from an office in Wetaskiwin, 2 1/2 hours north of Calgary. It turned out that my parents bought a little house in Wetaskiwin and remodeled it. Because they do spend so much time up there they wanted to share it with us. We were lucky enough to visit on a weekend that they had an airshow. Wetaskiwin is a small town, but the air show was a big deal and people came from all over to see it. The highlight of the show was the Canadian Snow birds. a group of 9 jets that fly in all kinds of formations. It was really cool. I am not sure my kids enjoyed it as much as we did. James was not happy with the jets flying so close, but it was still fun.
We spent the night in Wetaskiwin and went to church Sunday. During Sacrament Spencer seemed to have a fever. We took him back to my parents. My brother came up with his 3 kids to see the air show and Spencer went too. Brian brought Spencer back early... he threw up! That is a first for me. So he slept for most of the day. We carefully started our drive back to Calgary and he threw up 2 more times. Poor kid. luckily whatever he had he lost his appetite before he got sick so he really wasn't throwing up much.
A big reason why we went up to Calgary was to see my parents place that they finally got to move back into the week before we got there. It looks amazing. It is now too big for just the 2 of them so it looks like they are going to sell it. So it was good to stay with them there, in their home, maybe for the last time.
